This photograph is like a scene in a movie when the clock slows down, the sound starts to warp, and the image begins to bend and blur. In this scene, photographer Yana, is slowing down that clock for us to see the world at a slower pace. It is even more interesting that this photograph was taken at sunset so the light that is slowed is not only that of artificial light but of the sun’s as well. We can see the stark contrast of where the deep blues of night are consuming the once sunlight sky and the few levels of orange and pink light left before they are gorged. There is so much activity and movement happening in this landscape, but it is all completely frozen for us to thoroughly take in.
