Highlighted in this photograph is the expression “things are not always what they seem.” There are many ways the viewer can interpret this photo; it is an abstract expression of color. What the viewer will not be able to decipher is what the subject matter is. These beautiful colors were found on a piece of driftwood and captured by photographer Yana. She was taken with the richness of pigment and was surprised to find this color expression on a lonely piece of driftwood. She was able to achieve this photo by zooming in with her lens. Nature never ceases to surprise.
